POSITION
Summary:
Head Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, neatness and general upkeep of the overall campground and its facilities.
These responsibilities include Housekeeping staff supervision, risk management, and property management.
They are responsible for managing these functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees, and Board of Directors of the YMCA.
Essential Functions:
Models relationship-building skills in all interactions Manages, schedules, and trains Housekeeping staff on job related functions Oversees and maintains the cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of all campground buildings for assigned site Takes initiative to address cleaning needs outside of routine duties Responsible for managing inventory of all housekeeping and cleaning supplies, and ensures proper reporting for timely orders Monitor the use and maintenance of all linens, towels, pillows and bedspreads Adheres to annual cleaning checklist and schedule, and provides guidance to staff for completion Manages and creates staff schedules according to guest reservations on camp facilities Maintains a clear understanding of facility standards and reports necessary repairs and improvement through designated communication channels Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and efficient organizational skills Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment Ability to respond well in a fast paced environment Leadership skills, with an ability to manage people, time, and resources Willingness to work hard as a part of a team Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community Multi-lingual desired but not required WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but not limited to the following activities:
semi - reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces:
underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back.
